The antiquarian book “Histoires Admirables et Memorables de notre temps de ce troisième & quatrième Volume“ from 1614 is an account of different stories that include memorable characters, such as the devil possessed, or of interesting incidents and unusual places. This particular one is volume III and IV. It was written by the French humanist and theologian, who as a Huguenot fled France in 1566 and settled in Geneva. This is a very fine and rare example of this remarkable written work.
The antiquarian book is in good condition considering its age. The pages are slightly wavy. There are some stains on the cover. The leather bound is extended around the rim covering the parchment paper. The spine is marked with the title and the date in handwriting. There are some old inscriptions on the inside of the cover relating to a French convent.
