This represantive Art Nouveau grandfather clock was made in Germany around 1900. The massive oak casing is manufactured in the typical style of the High-Art Nouveau period. The upwards tampering casing is decorated with vines, flower and blossom carvings with an additional carving of an open flower head at the bottom. Through the swung cut glass is the very decorative, elaborate face visible with red tainted hands and Arabian numerals. The clockwork strikes at intervals of 15 min on two earthenware pipes.
The Clok is in good condition and is fully functioning. No guarantee on time keeping accuracy and durance. It shows a few nudges and damages to the veneer, especially at the feet. The overall dimensions of the clock are: H 266 x B 75 x D 38 cm.
