We would like to introduce you to Alexandra Weidmann, Auctionata expert in Asian Art, Tribal Art & Antiquities, Primitive Art as well as African, Pre-Columbian , Indonesian and Oceanic Art.

Alexandra Weidmann’s passion for primitive art started early in life. She studied art history at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris in 1991, where she later specialized in African art.

After moving to Brussels in 1997, she worked for the Galerie Emile Deletaille, a world-renowned dealer in primitive art. From that moment on, she has worked with beautiful and exceptional pieces of Pre-Columbian, African, Oceanic and Indonesian art available on the market. The gallery operates worldwide and important collectors pay a visit regularly. There, she offered expertise and performed valuations for private collectors and museums. She was in charge of the coordination and management of the gallery’s presence at international art fairs such as the Armory Show in New York, Maastricht and Basel TEFAF, and at German fairs in Munich, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg.

Her extensive work history provides strong valuation skills and a solid understanding of the market.

From 2002 to the present, Ms. Weidmann has worked as a freelance art consultant. She has organized several auction sales in Paris (Etude Binoche, Artcurial) and in Lyon, where she currently lives.

Alexandra Weidmann lives and works in France.
