We would like to introduce you to Rebekah Kaufman, Auctionata expert in Collectibles & Rarities, Steiff Bears, Animals & Dolls as well as Miscellaneous.

Rebekah Kaufman is a third-generation Steiff enthusiast and has been collecting vintage Steiff for 40 years. Her collection numbers over 700 items from 1905 onward. Ms. Kaufman’s German grandmother nurtured her love for the brand, and today she is the proud owner of her grandmother’s treasured bears.

Ms. Kaufman turned her passion into her profession, working for the American division of Margarete Steiff GmbH as Steiff Club Manager for several years. Today, she consults for the company as one of three official North American archivists. She leads collector’s events and identifies and values vintage Steiff treasures on behalf of the company.

Ms. Kaufman is a regular contributor to numerous collectors’ publications and the quarterly Steiff Club Magazine, which is translated into five languages and has a worldwide circulation of 30,000. Her blog, My Steiff Life, receives thousands of visits per month and focuses on interesting vintage Steiff items, Steiff antiquing adventures, and the history behind old Steiff treasures. It has won several awards for content.

She also maintains the Steiff Facebook fan page, where she posts interactive content daily and has grown the fan base to over 5,000. She is frequently tapped by auction houses and the media for her Steiff expertise.
