We would like to introduce you to Paul Russ, Auctionata expert in American Furniture & Decorative Arts.

Paul Russ is an appraiser, broker and consultant in art and antiques, with continuous full-time professional experience in the field since 1985.

His career developed out of college and he became an antiques dealer active in the New York City and New England markets. He then expanded his activity to include European buying trips and importation of antiques. He developed an appraisal business for private clients and trust and estate professionals at many prominent firms.

Mr. Russ is a member of The Appraisers Association of America. His specialist areas are American antique furniture and decorative arts from the mid-18th to the 20th centuries, and American fine art from the late 19th to the early 20th centuries.

Identifying the need to assist clients with the liquidation of estate contents and in matters of downsizing, he developed an auction company that has sold items of significant value, including important American art, antique furniture, silver and porcelain.

Mr. Russ’s greatest strength is his lifelong exposure to and interaction with items from varied cultures and periods, along with an appreciation of many art forms.

Paul Russ lives and works in Connecticut.
