We would like to introduce you to Claudia Fauth, Auctionata expert in Antique Jewelry.
Ms. Fauth was born in Berlin and attended school near Lake Geneva. She began handling antique jewellery and gems at the age of 16. Two years later she moved to New York, where she worked in the jewellery trade on 47th Street. In 1981, she founded her own company Art 1900, which specializes in 20th century Art and Design, jewellery and gem stones. She is among the world’s leading experts in 20th century jewellery including works by Cartier, Boucheron, Tiffany and Van Cleef & Arpels. Her international reputation allowed her to purchase a large part of the Parisian jeweller Mauboussin’s estate from the Art Deco period. She now works on behalf of international collectors and public institutions such as the Wolfsonian Museum in Miami Beach.
Ms. Fauth has a passion for organizing museum exhibitions so she played a leading role in the exhibition ‘Jugendstilschmuck aus Pforzheim’ at the Bröhan Museum in Berlin.
For the last eight years, she has been designing and producing her own jewellery collections with great success. Her creativity regularly takes her on journeys to South America and Asia in pursuit of rare gems. She also takes part in numerous international exhibitions in New York, Las Vegas, Miami and Hong Kong.
