We would like to introduce you to Kimberley Ahara, Auctionata expert in Studio Glass Paperweights, Art Pottery and Porcelain as well as Silver and Metalwork.

Raised in Canada and South Africa, Ms Ahara studied art history at the University of California before earning her M.A. in Early American Culture at the University of Delaware. She also holds a graduate certificate in decorative arts connoisseurship from George Washington University, and has completed coursework in residence at Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in Germany.

Ms Ahara combines a career as a lecturer, scholar and antiques dealer. Her specialisms include late 19th to early 20th century European and American metalwork and ceramics and studio glass paperweights from mid 19th century to present-day.

Equally curious about colour, context and craftsmanship, Ms Ahara has spent the last decade working with museums, historical foundations, private collectors and auction houses in Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Berlin and Manhattan. She managed a decorative arts gallery on Madison Avenue in New York City before establishing "Q Antiques and Design" in New England.
