We would like to introduce you to David Freeman, Auctionata expert in Australian Decorative Arts, Hagenauer Design as well as Art Deco.

David Freeman has run his own independent valuation service since 1985. A highly skilled valuer and member of the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia, he conducts his business with passion and professionalism. His clients include local and federal government bodies, institutions, museums, galleries, businesses, solicitors, lawyers and private individuals.

Mr Freeman has maintained a personal Hagenauer collection since the age of ten, when he purchased a clock by the Hagenauer workshops at a market auction. Since then his collection has expanded into Doulton Lambeth wares, WMF, Australian pottery, Australian social realism art, Scandinavian glass, Troika and European pottery. He has a lifelong passion for Art Deco.

Mr Freeman’s collections were featured in many international publications, including the Fall 2010 issue of Modernism Magazine USA. He is a regular contributor to various collecting and related publications, conducts valuation days for various charitable organisations, and is equal a partner and CEO of Amanda Addams Auctions.

David Freeman lives and works in Melbourne.
