We would like to introduce you to Frank Ronneburg, Auctionata expert in Model Railways and Old Toys.

For years, the expert has worked as a consultant for Märklin train collectors and other enthusiasts who trust him for the appraisal of antique model trains. He owes his profound knowledge of prices to intense market observation, regular visits to model train exhibitions and participation in the major auctions.

Frank Ronneburg is especially interested in so-called “dealer or promotional objects.” This includes old advertising boards, exhibition displays or merchandizing objects — samples made especially for model train dealers. After a long search in Sweden and a journey of more than 2,000 km the rare “Märklin sun dial” was presented in a public exhibition for the first time in many years. It was a very special discovery for Frank Ronneburg, since there is only one other showpiece of this type that exists worldwide.

For many years, Mr. Ronneburg has successfully operated the trade forum, a platform for enthusiasts and retailers of model trains. The forum features regular, up-to-date specialist articles and collectors’ items, highlighting their characteristics and market value.

His years of experience, expertise and passion for the subject have made him a proven curator for numerous exhibition projects throughout Germany. In June 2012, he curated an exhibition at the ”Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin”.

Frank Ronneburg lives and works in Berlin.
