The Vertical Limit is the Champagne Cellar of the 21st century. A collaboration between two icons of design, Veuve Clicquot and Porsche Design Studio.
The Brushed-Steel Cellar Tower, standing over six feet tall, has been meticulously handmade and offers an elegant juxtaposition between the historic grace Verve has to offer and the forward thinking nature of the technologic monolith that is Porsche.
The Vertical Limit is one of only 15 made and has been purpose-built to house 12 magnums of the Grande Marque’s most sought after and exceptional vintages over the last half century. Every Magnum was personally selected in 2007 by Jacques Peters, Chef de Caves de la Maison Veuve Clicquot in Reims. Each compartment is illuminated with Veuve Clicqout’s signature yellow hue.
An item so unique in nature and created by two of the worlds most recognised brands, this is an item that is not to be missed by any fine wine lovers or connoisseurs.

The 1961 Brut, tasted from magnum, is compelling. Warm, rich and resonant to the core, the 1961 is remarkably fresh. Apricot jam, spice and orange peel are some of the signatures. This is another magnificent Champagne. Here it is the wine's textural breadth and pure explosive energy that truly stand out. The magnum format can be magic for Champagne.
Incredibly youthful and energetic for a wine of its age, the 1962 possesses magnificent depth and tons of class. Sensual and voluptuous, the 1962 is everything a mature Champagne should be. In a word: timeless.

The 1969 Brut Rosé is off the charts. Incredibly vivid and mesmerizing, the 1969 is everything fine, aged Champagne can be. Layers of fruit continue to build in a voluptuous, beautifully textured Champagne that remains vivid and wonderfully alive.

A huge, explosive wine from one of the great all-time Champagne vintages, Veuve Clicquot's 1979 Brut Rosé is broad, rich and ample on the palate. This is a decidedly virile Champagne that emphasizes power over finesse.

Complex, fresh aromas of apple, vanilla, toast and brioche. Very intense, very fresh flavors of spiced apple, lemon and clove; tight and taut, with strong acidity and uncanny clarity of flavor. Quite long and young on the aftertaste. Serious juice, with good aging potential.
