The painting bears a scratch at the lower edge and a small concave bump in the center to the right. There is a small hole at the upper edge and tiny craquelure in some places. The overall impression is good.
André Morisset (1876-1954)
The French painter André Morisset who was born in 1876 Saint-Sauveur/Yonne in the region Burgundy exhibited up from 1911 in the Salon d'Automne and in the 1930s in the Salon des Indépendants in Paris. Morisset primarily painted stylized coastal and winter landscapes at dusk or dawn which provide the special colorfulness of his paintings. His oeuvre stands in the tradition of impressionism. (msc)
