The canvas is a bit warped and shows minor rubbing of the paint. The varnish has been renewed. No evidence of retouching under UV light. The frame is slightly chipped.
Nikolai Borisovich Terpsikhorov (1890-1960)
Nikolai Borisovich Terpsikhorov was born in St. Petersburg in 1890. He studied at Moscow's Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 1917, during World War I, he fought for the Red Army and was a member of the Association of Revolutionary Artists of Russia, whose ideology and aesthetics is also reflected in his paintings, including scenes from the life of the Soviet people during the emergence of socialism.
