In 1979 this Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 2 Special Version was ordered by Imperial Chemical Industries from the Rolls-Royce works with the following color designation: "Gold Fineline on Dark Olive paint".
Another special order was the bi-color paintwork "Dark-Olive" over "Silver Sand" and a vinyl rooftop in matching color. The most striking difference between this car and what is considered a Rolls-Royce standard are the seats covered with the finest beige Parkertex Savoy Velvet instead of leather.
The doors and the rest of the interior are trimmed with leather and come in a condition that shows no traces of aging – a sign of good care and low mileage.
The pleasant condition of the interior continues underneath the engine hood; as far as care and maintenance are concerned, the car has never been neglected. The paintwork shows some discernible minor blemishes and the gold fineline was replaced by a silver one.
By and large, this is a UNIQUE object in great condition.
The car is sold with all original papers as follows: Owner's Handbook, information for a customer, passenger car fuel consumptation order 1977, service schedules, sales and service handbook.
This vehicle has had 4 previous owners (1 in Great Britain, all others in Germany). Additionally, the car was selected as Rolls Royce of the Month August 2008 by the Rolls-Royce expert Rossfeldt and mentioned in an article.
