The painting is in good overall condition with fresh colors and small mounting holes, which have been retouched. The inspection under UV light reveals some touch-ups to the sky. The frame has only slight signs of wear.
Ingeborg Westfelt-Eggertz (1855-1936)
Ingeborg Westfelt-Eggertz was born in Stockholm and studied at the Art Academy in Stockholm in the 1870s, as well as in Paris under Collin and Courtois from 1883 to 1890. From 1887 to 1890, she directed an art school in Paris. She then lived in Stockholm, Visby, Landskrona, and Gothenburg. Westfelt-Eggertz has received several prices, including the Gold Medal for Oil Painting in Arcachon, and the silver medal of Versailles. (cko)
