A cultural monument on Kurfürstendamm
Seven floors, 115 rooms – that was the charming Hotel Bogota on the Schlüterstraße 45 in Berlin. Now, the hotelier Joachim Rissmann has to close the doors of his hotel. He grew up there as his parents took over the hotel from its previous owner, Heinz Rewald.
“Despite the financial turmoil and the strong emotional connection to my hotel, which of course has grown over the years since my parents owned it, I am pleased and excited about the auction, which will take place on the February 21.
This way, it will be possible for individuals to purchase art-treasures from this hotel, which was once full of life. This way the memory of the Bogota Hotel will stay alive and remain in place. For this reason, I can once again look at the future with hope despite having to swallow this bitter pill: when one door closes, another ten will open.”
