The online bidders were out in force and were equally enthusiastic, having initiated a number of exciting bidding contests. The Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica by Sir Isaac Newton from 1726 prompted one such contest, beginning the auction with a starting price of €2,000, it attained a hammer fall of €6,809 (incl. buyer's premium). An impressive French Imari vase clock with rare ormolu mounts began the auction with a starting price of €2,000 and eventually found a new owner for the sum of €4,952 (incl. buyer's premium). The porcelain figure made by Theodor Kärner represented one of the highlights at the auction, which was evident by its hammer fall of €10,523 (incl. buyer's premium).
