We would like to introduce you to Christina Warner, Auctionata expert in Modern and Contemporary Latin-American Art.
Christina Warner specializes in Modern and Contemporary art with a concentration in Latin American art. She began her career interning at Citibank Art Advisory in 2002. From 2002 to 2003 she learned the business dynamic of the auction industry by working at Christie’s in New York.
With a desire to broaden her knowledge of Impressionist and Modern art, she worked as Assistant Director for the Helly Nahmad Gallery in New York from 2005 to 2012. After 7 years at the gallery, she had not only developed an extensive knowledge of the secondary market but had also kept abreast of the primary market through curating pop-up exhibitions independently.
She joined Artnet auctions as a Senior Specialist in Modern, Contemporary and Latin American art in an effort to evolve with the times. In this role, she sourced, curated, catalogued and sold works of art through online auctions and through private sales. In 2014, she will complete a Professional Certificate from New York University in Art Business as well as in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts.
Today, she works as an independent art consultant advising clients how to build and enhance their collections by keeping a close eye on the pulse of both the Modern and Latin American markets.
She earned her BA in Art History and Spanish Literature from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. She is fluent in Spanish and holds a particular interest in European and Latin American Surrealist painters.
Christina Warner lives and works in New York.
