We would like to introduce you to Sarah Hodgson, Auctionata expert in Miscellaneous, Film Memorabilia & Vintage Film Posters as well as Collectibles & Rarities.
Sarah Hodgson has 18 years’ experience as an expert in the field of Entertainment Memorabilia with a particular interest in film memorabilia including vintage film posters.
For 15 years, Sarah was a specialist in the Entertainment Memorabilia Department at Christie’s in London where she served as Head of Department and later as a Consultant. In 2009 she established Wallace & Hodgson with ex-Christie’s colleague and fellow Auctionata expert, Carey Wallace, specializing in all areas of the Entertainment Memorabilia market. They work internationally with major artists, auction houses, collectors, corporations and institutions.
While working at Christie’s, Sarah was involved with some of the most exciting auctions to have been brought to the market, including the ground-breaking James Bond Memorabilia auctions in London in 1998 and 2001, and the Personal Property of Marilyn Monroe in New York in 2001. However, her most memorable and exciting project was the sale of Audrey Hepburn’s iconic black Givenchy gown from Breakfast At Tiffany’s (1961), which sold in London in 2006 for a then world record price for a film costume, £467,200. Sarah was also responsible for establishing Christie’s in London as a market leader for vintage film posters.
Sarah has contributed to two beautifully illustrated books: “Audrey Hepburn: The Paramount Years” and “Weddings And Movie Stars”; she has also appeared as an expert on the UK TV program “20th Century Roadshow” as well as given interviews for radio.
Sarah Hodgson lives and works in United Kingdom.
