We would like to introduce you to Albert Halmos, Auctionata expert in Vintage Toys and Tin Toys as well as Venitian Majolica and Vintage Tobbaco Pipes.

Albert Hamos discovered his passion for collecting antique tobacco pipes and Venetian majolicas during his academic years in Venice. Strolling around the beaches in and around Venice, he came across many antique stranded goods. He started to collect the washed up ceramic fragments and researched their background and history.

An illustrator and graphic designer by education, the expert now has more than 40 years of experience in this field of collecting and owns an internationally recognized clay pipe collection, with the specimens continuously exhibited in European museums and institutions. As a member of Académie Internationale de Pipe (international pipe academy), Albert Halmos regularly delivers lectures at conventions and writes publications for the academy's magazine.

But Albert Halmos is not only an expert in the field of antique clay pipes and Venetian ceramics, he also has an extensive knowledge in the area of historical toys. More than 30 years ago, he started to look into the market for antique toys. He has continued to visit trade fairs and toy bazaars all over Europe ever since, as attendant or exhibitor, in order to expand his comprehensive knowledge.

Albert Halmos lives and works in Manching/ Southern Germany.
