Ms. Lutyens-Humfrey is an expert in collectible Chinese artworks, including jade, ceramics and paintings, as well as Japanese and Korean art. She was exposed to the art world at an early age, as her father is a well-known art critic and art historian. Following in his footsteps, she studied Asian Art at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, in addition to Design and Visual Communications at Kyoto Saga University of Arts, and Art Education and Japanese Painting at the Kyoto University of Education.
After her studies, she established herself professionally, and, in 2013, Ms. Lutyens-Humfrey founded Ding Tian UK Auction Ltd, the first Chinese fine art auction house in the United Kingdom. She was also the Founder and Director of East & West Fine Arts Agent in London. Additionally, Ms. Lutyens-Humfrey is deeply involved in the Association of Chinese Collectors UK, acting as one of their esteemed Directors.
