We would like to introduce to Claus Kemmer, Auctionata expert in Dutch and Flemish 17th Century Paintings, Prints of the 16th-18th centuries, and Contemporary Prints.

Claus Kemmer studied art history at universities in Würzburg, Utrecht and London.  He was a scholarship holder at the Netherlandish Institute for Scientific Research and at the Warburg Institute, and he has worked for numerous art historical institutes in Utrecht, Paris, Berlin and Braunschweig.  The focus of Mr. Kemmer’s research is Dutch and Flemish 17th century paintings, the history of prints from the 16th to 18th centuries, as well as contemporary prints.

Claus Kemmer founded the art consultancy in Dresden, Germany, where he focuses on art placement and insurance evaluations. The primary objective of his agency is to develop specialized programs for visitors of museums, to provide art historical research for collectors and museums, in addition to consulting private collectors.

Claus Kemmer lives and works in Dresden.
