    Emile Gallé (1846-1904)

Flora fascinated him throughout his life and he used glassworks for experimentation, using new techniques of marbling, inclusion, bubbles and overlay. Emile Gallé’s oeuvre is renowned for uniting technical expertise and creative ingenuity. His glass artworks were reputed through international exhibitions and awards. He also opened further outlets in Paris, Frankfurt and London. The family business continued on into the 1930s. (kre)
