Einar Hein (1875-1931)
Einar Hein studied under the guidance of Holger Gronvold at the Technical School of Copenhagen, before he went to study at the Royal Academy from 1892 to 1896. He finished his studies at the Kunsternes Studieskole under Peder Severin Krøyer. Along with Jens Vige, John Wilhjelm and Gad Frederik Clement, Hein belonged to the younger generation of the Skagen painters who focused on the depiction of landscapes in the north of Jutland. Hein also created finely crafted portraits and depictions of children. (cko)
