This is a flat Jiaqing porcelain bowl. It comes from China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), and it is decorated in ferrous red, black and gold paint. Two figures at the plate’s centre (the well) are shaded by a tree on the left. The picture also shows a door, rocks and a fence; a crescent moon and star signs decorate the sky. The lip of the bowl is decorated with a pattern and four segments; an enchanting bowl with endearing depiction.
This shallow porcelain bowl is in good condition showing usual signs of age-related wear and use; slight abrasion of colour. There is a stamp on the underside. The bowl measures 28.5 cm in diameter.
