  • Exhibits at fairs in New York, Palm Beach, and Hong Kong
  • Over 17 years experience
  • Classical education in science and languages

Neil Marrs has been active in the international jewelry trade for 17 years, the majority of that time as a private dealer specializing in collectible, signed fine jewelry from the 1960s and 1970s (Verdura, David Webb, Seaman Schepps, Schlumberger). Mr. Marr's key interest is in the history of 20th Century society and the glamorous jewels of lost eras.

He is fascinated by vintage advertisements, period photographs, and oral history which document jewelry's place in time and how it was worn. Not surprisingly, Mr. Marrs works closely with company archivists and jewelry historians to identify iconic pieces and their provenance.

Mr. Marrs exhibits at antiques fairs in New York, Palm Beach, and Hong Kong with an eye on style, and concern for original materials and condition. His classical education in Chemistry and Chinese history and language from top American universities inform his analysis of thousands of pieces of jewelry every year.

Mr. Marrs´ entertained a visual interest in colors and shapes from an early age, collecting textiles, ceramics, and glass. Exciting discoveries: a rare Suzanne Belperron jeweled butterfly brooch or a 1950s Verdura flower pin.
