Nicole Nicas Rovner is an independent art and auction consultant to institutional and private clients. An art historian with a broad educational and professional background, she provides appraisal and research services while continuing to pursue scholarship in fine and decorative arts.

Ms Nicas Rovner has extensive professional experience in art history, education, auctions and technology. In 2002 she received an M.A. with Distinction from Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, where she specialised in 19th-century British architectural history and decorative arts.

Her thesis uncovered the little-known design firm Mssrs. Waller & Sons, which operated during the latter half of the 19th century. Ms Nicas Rovner’s annotated catalogue of designs has since resided in the National Arts Library at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

After returning to the United States, Ms Nicas Rovner served as guest curator at the Worcester Art Museum and visiting lecturer in art history at the College of the Holy Cross. She then spent six years working for Skinner’s Auctioneers in New England.

Her current projects include research into the interior decoration of Heytesbury House in Wiltshire, and the work of 19th-century Italian wood carver Luigi Frullini.
