Annette Splieth is an independent appraiser of personal property.

She started her career over 20 years ago, earning her Masters degree in History of Art at Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. She was the curator of the Castle Museum Murnau, specializing in German Expressionist art and the Blauer Reiter (Blue Rider Group) for seven years. In 2002 she moved to the United States, and has been living and working in Seattle ever since. She also spends part of her time in Hamburg.

Ms Splieth was awarded the Certificate in Appraisal Studies from the International Society of Appraisers, University College of Maryland, in 2004.

In the Pacific Northwest she worked with an American interior designer who ran an art and antiques gallery for several years. She was highly involved with the sale and appraisal of works of art. During this time, a lot of items and a variety of pieces, ranging from European and American fine art to decorative art from the 17th to the 20th Century passed through her capable hands.
